JefFab Customs – Warranty Policy

At JefFab Customs, we stand behind the quality of our products and workmanship. This warranty outlines the protections we provide and the responsibilities of purchasers under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Aftermarket Product Notice

Our products are aftermarket items. Purchasers are responsible for ensuring suitability for their intended application. Nothing in this notice limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

We provide a lifetime workmanship warranty on all fabricated metal components manufactured by JefFab Customs.For this warranty, “lifetime” refers to the functional lifetime of the product under normal use by the original purchaser.

This warranty covers:

•     defects resulting from poor fabrication, welding, or assembly workmanship.

 

2. 12-Month Limited Warranty (Materials & Finishes)

A 12-month warranty applies to non-fabricated parts and materials supplied as part of a product, including powder coat finish; brackets, fittings, filters and hardware; and non-consumable components.

 

3. Consumable Items (Not Covered)

Consumable components are excluded from all warranties. These include:

·      powder-coat deterioration caused by external factors (stone chips, chemicals etc)

4. Warranty Exclusions

The following are not covered under any JefFab Customs warranty:

·      Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect or improper use

·      Accidental damage after purchase

·      Improper installation-related damage (by customer or third party)

·      Alterations, modifications, or customer changes made after purchase

·      Lack of reasonable maintenance

·      Damage occurring during shipping (to be claimed with the carrier)

·      Damage caused by other components or by vehicle faults

·      Normal wear and tear

These exclusions apply except where inconsistent with your rights under the ACL.

5. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To lodge a claim, contact us at jeffabcustoms@gmail.com with:

·      Original order information

·      Description of the issue

·      Supporting photos and/or videos

Claimed must be lodged within the warranty period. We may request the product be returned for inspection. Independent assessment may be used where required.

6. Resolution Options

If your product is found to have a warranty defect, we may offer one of the following:

·      Repair

·      Replacement (new or refurbished)

·      Refund of the purchase price

The appropriate remedy is determined based on the nature of the defect and ACL requirements. JefFab Customs may require the original product be returned before a replacement or refund is issued.

7. Shipping Costs

Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless ACL requires otherwise, such as in the case of major failure.

 

8. Non-Transferable Warranty

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase is required for all claims.

9. Policy Updates

JefFab Customs may update this warranty policy at any time. Changes apply only to purchases made after the date of the update.

10. Australian Consumer Law Statement

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
